Beyond Blessed

Hallie had her first shower this weekend in Levelland.  We were both so touched by all that came and all of her sweet little gifts.  I didn't know if I could get any more excited about her coming, but seeing all of her new gifts made me even more excited.  In fact, I was planning on returning to Midland Sunday, but decided to leave Saturday so I could start putting all of her tiny clothes and gifts in her room.   Let's just say Hallie will definitely not be naked!  For once in my life, I enjoyed unpacking and organizing after a trip!

Nana and Me

Alex, Me, and Hallie's owl piggy bank. Hope Hallie's dad doesn't steal out of her piggy bank like he steals out of my billfold!

Grammy and Nana

Camille, me, and Joni.  So sweet of them to come!

My wonderful hostesses!

All of the Chi-O's that came

My "Granddad Larry" Bear made out of one of my dad's old shirts.  Such a special gift!

30 Weeks (just about)

Pregnancy stuff:  Still growing and growing!  I'm still in denial that my belly button is starting to poke out.  Overall, things are going well, but Tums are quickly becoming my best friend!  I have an appointment on Monday and every two weeks after that.  I'm crossing my fingers for an ultrasound very soon.  Thank you everyone again for such a wonderful weekend.  Hallie and I are truly blessed.

Mother's Day

Blake and Hallie did an excellent job spoiling me for Mother's Day, and I'm not even a full mom yet!  In Blake's words, I'm a "half mom" and we can "halfway celebrate."  I guess that's his way of avoiding guilt for not helping out with the endless laundry I participated in on Mother's Day.  I received a diaper bag from Blake and flowers and a card from Hallie.  I was very impressed with Blake's first Mother's Day.  I can't wait for next Mother's Day when I will be a "full mom."

On this Mother's Day especially, I feel so blessed that Blake and I have such wonderful mother's that have taught us how to be loving parents.   Happy Mother's Day Mom and Robbie!  We love you both, and I hope I am half the mother to Hallie that you two were to Blake and me.

Pregnancy stuff:  No big changes, just enjoying the kicks and rolls more every day.  I now see tiny body parts sticking out at times.  So surreal this pregnancy business is!  It's a tiny human growing inside me...still trying to wrap my head around that one!
