9 Months

Well I've wondered when Hallie would become too cool for her monthly pictures...the answer is 9 months.  These were the best we could do.  "Hallie how old are you?"

"Hmmmm mom let me think about it..."

"I'm going to cheat and look at my shirt..."

"I've got it!  I'm nine months old!"

"I'm done taking pictures now."

This month was a very, very busy one!  Hallie is crawling all over the place, pulling up on everything (regardless of how stable it is), and making her dad and me smile more every day.

Blake and I still come in second to Mia:
Alex came in to town and took pictures for her photography class.  Thank you, thank you Alex!  You did a wonderful job and earned every bit of that 96 (I'm still wondering how they could take 4 points off that sweet face!).  I'm still waiting on her to send me the bill:

We also celebrated Camille's graduation at Abuelo's. Sara, Bryan, Grady, and Caleb came in to celebrate:

"What is this wet stuff coming down?"  Sadly, Hallie has seen rain only about 3 times in her 9 months of life!

And the best thing that happened in month nine, Hallie was baptized on 4/29/12....but that deserves it's own post...in a couple of days!

8 Months

Drumroll please.....

Goodbye house decorations and hello baby proofing!  Our morning routine just got a lot more complicated.

We went to Fort Worth last weekend to visit Sara, Bryan, Grady, Baby Boy Brazelton, Bodine, Judy, and Doug.  Grady gets more precious every time we visit!

Grady pushing Hallie to see Bodine

Although Bodine cannot see very well, he told me he could tell she was wearing a "pretty dress."  So sweet!

Poor Grady!

Crawling around the house

Alex came to town so we celebrated with a BBQ at Reagan and Chase's (well and to celebrate Hallie's 8-month birthday too of course!)

 Giving Baby A a kiss.

 All partied out.
Oh wait nevermind...and that is how she has developed the nickname "Rally Hallie"

And now I have to get back to baby proofing.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day from this little leprechaun:
"Thank you Nana for my green outfit. Now I won't get pinched today!"

"Irish" time would slow down, it is going way too fast!

7 Months

"What?!  Someone is SEVEN months old now?!"

"Oh, wait that person is me!"

"My mom is sad because I am now closer to one than I am to zero!"

Here is what I have been up to over the past month:

"Two of my mom's favorite Valentine's Day gifts this year"

"I promise my dad loves me!"

"Going to church"

"I wore my workout outfit this morning to work on my crawling.  I start like this..."

"...and end like this.  Ta Da!!!"

"I needed a bath after all that hard work."

"And a ride around the house."

"And I finished off the night with some crawling school.  My dad was my instructor."

"Check out my new trick.  I do it nonstop from 6 pm to 7:30 pm"

"What on earth did my parents do before I came along?!"

6 Months

Somebody is VERY excited to be 6 months old!

Our lives were forever changed 6 months ago.  What a blessing the past 6 months have been.
At six months, Hallie is:
  • sitting up like a pro.
  • giggling several times a day, usually at our dog Mia.
  • sticking out her tongue every chance she gets (see pics below).
  • eating baby food 2-3 times a day.  Green beans and carrots are on our good list, peas are on our bad list.
  • showing some definite signs of separation anxiety.
  • telling very long "stories."  Her speech therapist mom is excited to hear some d's in all of that babbling.
  • enjoying her walks now that the weather is warmer and she is able to face outward in her BOB stroller.
  • loving watching the ducks shake their feathers on our walks to the lake.
  • playing the "I throw my toys down and mom and dad will pick it up" game.
  • loving playing naked.
  • keeping her parents very entertained!

 Eating dad's hat

Playing the piano.  Hope that goes better than it did for her mom!
Mia, her best friend and personal comedian.
 Doing her stretches before school.

Happy 1/2 birthday Hallie, Hallie Ballie, Hallie Badger, Hals!  We love you so much!!
