This is a picture of the baby's room under construction (along with the rest of the house!). My Aunt Kim saw the room this weekend and said, "Well I guess you're having a girl because of the pink ribbon." Ha! Maybe the construction workers know something that I don't! I guess we will find out in 2 months!
Kristin took this picture of me over Christmas at eight weeks. I'm now 11 weeks, which means the baby is now the size of lime. Finally, a food that I like! The past few weeks have been kumquats, lentils, and olives. Yuck! It also means I'm in that "is she gaining weight or is she pregnant" stage. I received a belly band from my mom in my stocking but left it in Lubbock thinking "surely I can wait until February when my mom helps me move into our new house." Well...I called my mom three days ago asking her to mail it to me. I underestimated the rate of my growing stomach. My next appointment is Monday, and hopefully we will get to see the baby again.
Have a great MLK weekend! I will be spending mine in Fredricksburg touring the wineries. I've always wanted to visit a winery, so of course my first trip is as an 11-week pregnant woman. In case you were wondering, no, I will not be partaking in the wine-tasting, but am still very excited to see all of my friends for Amy's bachelorette party.
